Battle of the Seelow Heights!
The memorial at the Seelow Heights is another fine example of bombastic Soviet let’s-gloss-over-the-mistakes-we-made-in-the-battle propaganda, but it does give a great overview of the fighting. And it has the right mix of story, hardware, and commemoration.
What you should do after seeing the memorial (and what we did) is to then drive to the Polish border so that you get a feel for the kilometers of open flood plain which the waves of Soviet infantry had to first cross before they could even reach the German defensive positions!
Highly recommended for those planning a somewhat extensive trip to the capital.
