Traces of War – Berlin Battle Damage Tour

Berlin battle damage!

This afternoon, the Berlin IC walked around Schöneberg in Berlin, looking at some of the remaining evidence from the Battle of Berlin.

Bullet holes and shrapnel damage can still be seen on Rathaus Schöneberg and Bülowstraße Ubahn station. And the facade on a house on Sigismundstraße has also been left untouched since May 1945.

These Second World War scars are rapidly disappearing as Berlin is undergoing constant redevelopment. – Catch them whilst you can!
